Nearly 50 Killed as Bangladesh Plane Crash Lands in Wrong Direction at Nepal

Webdesk, TNI New Delhi, 12th March, 2018: Today, according to agency reports, 49 people were killed when a US-Bangla Airlines passenger plane (Flight BS 211) approached the runway of Tribhuvan International Airport from the wrong direction. Ultimately, it crashed and burst into flames leaving moaning of victims from a long distance.  It’s a privately owned Bangladeshi carrier, flying from Dhaka, Bangladesh with 71 passengers on board. According to reports at least forty bodies were recovered from the wreckage, nine died in hospital and 22 survivors are receiving treatment in hospital. The incident occurred at around 2:15 pm local time.  Most of the victims were mainly Nepalese and Bangladeshi with one from China and one from the Maldives. All the four crew members were from Bangladesh, officials said. The newly elected Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. K.P Sharma Oli visited the crash site to take stock of the situation.
